These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of loventree.com and any purchase, commission request, or interaction with Loventree Studio (“Loventree,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Loventree Studio

Loventree Studio is a Pennsylvania-based independent art studio offering custom, made-to-order artwork and select physical products. All work is created by hand and many items are one-of-a-kind.

2. Eligibility

By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a legal guardian.

3. Custom Artwork & Commissions

Commission Requests

Submitting a commission request does not guarantee acceptance. Loventree reserves the right to:

  • Accept or decline commissions at its discretion

  • Limit the number of active commissions

  • Adjust timelines based on workload and availability

Artistic Style

By commissioning artwork, you acknowledge that:

  • Artistic style, interpretation, and creative decisions are part of the value of custom work

  • Minor variations are normal and expected in handmade art

  • Requests for changes may be limited once work has begun

4. Pricing, Quotes & Payment

  • Prices listed are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated

  • Custom commissions may require a deposit or full payment before work begins

  • Payment is processed securely through Squarespace and its integrated payment providers

  • Loventree does not store full payment details

Quotes provided for custom work may have expiration dates and are subject to change if scope or timing changes.

5. Turnaround Times & Delivery

  • Estimated timelines are provided as guidance, not guarantees

  • Custom artwork timelines may vary due to complexity, revisions, or external factors

  • You will be notified if significant delays occur

Shipping times are separate from production timelines and are dependent on the selected carrier.

6. Shipping & Risk of Loss

  • Shipping costs and methods are shown at checkout

  • Loventree is not responsible for delays caused by carriers

  • Once an order has shipped, risk of loss transfers to the customer

  • Please ensure shipping information is accurate at checkout

7. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Due to the personalized nature of custom artwork:

  • All custom commissions are final sale

  • Refunds or returns are not offered once work has begun, except in rare circumstances at Loventree’s discretion

Non-Custom Items

For non-custom physical products:

  • Returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery

  • Items must be unused and in original condition

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged

8. Proofs & Approvals (If Applicable)

When proofs are provided:

  • Customers are responsible for reviewing details carefully

  • Approval indicates acceptance to proceed

  • Loventree is not responsible for errors approved by the customer

9. Intellectual Property & Artwork Rights

All artwork, designs, images, and content on loventree.com are the intellectual property of Loventree Studio unless otherwise stated.

  • Purchasing artwork does not transfer copyright

  • Artwork may not be reproduced, resold, or used commercially without written permission

  • Loventree retains the right to display completed work for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing

10. Website Content & Use

You agree not to:

  • Copy or misuse website content or artwork

  • Attempt to interfere with site functionality

  • Use the site for unlawful purposes

Loventree reserves the right to restrict access if misuse occurs.

11. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Loventree Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the product or service

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
